We knew this was going to happen eventually.It's official: as of early Monday, January 25th 2010, Avatar grossed more revenue than James Cameron's former blockbuster movie Titanic.
Avatar hit $1.292 billion over the weekend, and the movie's distributor confirmed that Titanic's historic benchmark fell as of early Monday.
(And to anyone saying "What about inflation?" - No, it hasn't beat it that way, yet. And it also will never beat Gone With The Wind, which is valued at 6 Trillion after adjusting for inflation.)
