George Lucas doesn't care if you like Star Wars: Interview from The Daily Show Jan, 5th

Jon Stewart interviewed George Lucas last night on The Daily Show, and Lucas shows a lack of concern for fans of his work. On one hand, I understand that he has to just ignore the critics or he'd never be able to move on; but to not acknowledge the fans that are dedicated to his work seems a little disrespectful. Without those fans, people would care a lot less about Lucas' works and movies. Do you think Lucas was being disrespectful?

"It's a work of fiction. It's a metaphor. It's not real. And therefore, you can either like it or not like it. Whatever."

Well, even though Lucas doesn't care, Jar Jar Binks was still a stupid idea for Star Wars.
I mean, I can't take a listen without wanting to erase every mention of the character from existence!
