Summer Glau joins NBC's new superhero show "The Cape"

Share
Summer Glau has been around TV a lot, going from Angel, to Firefly/Serenity, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Dollhouse... and now will be making her way to NBC via a new pilot for "The Cape".

Yes, NBC is doing another superhero show.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news:
"In the pilot, directed by Simon West, a former cop (David Lyons) is set up as a criminal and becomes a masked hero, the Cape, to clear his name.
Glau will play Orwell, a cute and intrepid investigative blogger who fearlessly goes after corrupt cops and costumed bad guys."

What does this mean for Heroes? Is NBC looking for a replacement for their show that dropped dramatically in ratings this last season? I still believe NBC can capture a strong scifi/superhero audience (look at Chuck for example), but will "The Cape" be it?

Do you think NBC can recover in the scifi scene with this new pilot? Are you excited to see Summer Glau again? I am!
